Follow the steps below to get your 3g/4g working on your Android phone!
- Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks >Access Point Names.
- Press the ‘Menu’ key and select “New APN”.
- Now use the following settings:
Access Name: Mobilink
Prepaid: jazzconnect.mobilinkworld.com
Postpaid: connect.mobilinkworld.com
Once you have added the setting then save the Access Point name. Prepaid and Postpad customers,if you are using Billing Sim mean Postpaid Sim then use the connect.mobilinkworld.com in APN, and if you are using Prepaid Sim then use the jazzconnect.mobilinkworld.com in APN.

- What is 3G?
3G is state of the art mobile technology which gives you an enhanced internet experience on your mobile device. The most significant benefit is high speed access to video content along with generally faster mobile internet access. Some of services and applications which could be benefited from 3G are:

- What is the difference between 3G and 4G?
These are different technologies. However, very few phones (less than 1%) are 4G compatible and hence most customers will not be able to use 4G. Also, 4G handsets are very expensive (usually more than Rs. 75,000).
3G customers will see “3”, “3G”, “H”, or “H+” next to the network bars on their phones.
4G customers should see “LTE” or “4G” next to the network bars on their phones. If any 4G customer does not see “LTE” or “4G” on their phone, then their operator is actually providing 2G or 3G service, and not 4G.

- Do I need to buy a new Mobilink SIM card in order to use 3G?
No, you do not need a separate number or a new SIM to activate 3G. Your current SIM is 3G compatible and you can activate a 3G Services on your existing mobile number and SIM card.

- Are 3G and Video calling services available on my SIM by default?
No. 3G service is an opt-in service, which can be activated by subscriber without any charges.
- How can I get 3G & Video Calling services activated on my SIM?
Prepaid subscribers can get 3G & Video Calling services activated by either (i) dialing *443# and selecting 3G activation option. (ii) sending keyword SUB to 7003 (no SMS charges). Mobilink 3G setting for android
- Are there any additional handset settings for 3G?
APN settings for 3G are same as 2G. If you are already using 2G data, you don’t need to do any other settings for 3G. If you are not using 2G data, please enter following APNs.

By dialing *443# & selecting 3G coverage location option, all prepaid & postpaid subscribers can find out whether they are in 3G coverage area or not. There are no charges for dialing *443#.

- What are the 3G bundles offered by Mobilink?
Mobilink is offering variety of 3G bundles to choose from as per subscriber needs. In addition, 3G base rate is also available at Rs. 18/MB. Video calling base rate is Rs. 5.98/Min.

- How can I subscribe to 3G bundles?
Prepaid subscribers can view 3G bundles by dialing *443# (without any charges) & selecting option “3G Offers”. After seeing available bundles, subscriber can simply subscribe by replying with desired option.

- Can 3G bundles be subscribed & consumed in both 2G & 3G networks?
Yes. Mobilink 3G bundles can be subscribed in both 2G & 3G networks. Similarly, MBs available in 3G bundles can also be consumed in both networks. This means that a subscriber will be charged on base rate only if he has not subscribed to any bundle.
- What is the speed offered by 3G bundles?

- How can I make Video Call using Mobilink 3G network?
Video Calling is a handset based feature. Please check specifications of your handset to find if it supports Video Call. If yes, you can make Video Call while connected to the 3G network. Receiving party should be connected to 3G network and have Video Calling capable handset in order to receive Video Call.
- Can I make Video call if I am not connected to 3G network?
Video Call cannot be made outside 3G network. You must be connected to 3G network to avail this service.
- Can I make Video call to other operators?
Currently, Video call is available from Mobilink to Mobilink only. Mobilink 3G setting for android
- How much will I be charged for making Video call?
Outgoing video calls will be charged at base rate of Rs. 5.98/min. Charging pulse will be 30 seconds. No charges will be applied for receiving video calls.

- How can I check if my handset is compatible with 3G?
Go into your phone’s network settings and see if it has options to enable any of the below listed features – if it does then your phone is 3G supported:

- HSPA
