CNIC Online Renewal Process , You can apply for a Online Renewal of your ID Card if it has expired. You can also choose to convert to chip-based Smart-ID Card (Smart CNIC/Smart NICOP) while applying in renewal category.

NOTE: If your ID Card is not yet expired, you may apply in Modification category to receive your card with a new (extended) expiry date.

Applying for Renewal

Refer to the following slideshow to view the steps for Renewal of your ID Card on Pak-Identity:

Once you have registered and prepared with you the photograph and supporting documents, you are now ready to apply for renewal of your ID Card/NICOP at Pak-Identity.

Create an application in the Renewal category.
Please select the card delivery address.
Pay Fee through a Credit Card/Debit Card.

NOTE: You can also go to the nearest E-Sahulat center and pay against your tracking ID in case you are applying from Pakistan.

NOTE: The applicant is asked to pay in the start of application because we prefill the application wizard with existing id card data for convenience. In cases where we do not display any existing data like reprint and new NICOP, the applicant is asked to pay at the end of application.

Provide the required personal details.
Upload your photograph up to 5MB as per specifications defined in Photograph Tutorial
Upload the supporting documents
Submit the attester/verifier details.

NOTE: Attester must be a authorized officer in case of CNIC. Provide details of two verifiers if applying for NICOP. Each verifier must be an adult with a valid CNIC/NICOP

Edit the suggestive online Urdu data form. The names provided in English shall be translated automatically.

NOTE:

Please note that the data populated in the online Urdu form is only the suggestive text as per the best system knowledge.
Applicants must review and customize the information according to their requirement.
In case of any changes required, Urdu keyboard option to customize the information is also available.
This information can also be corrected manually on the printed Urdu form

Download the form, capture the best 4 fingerprints asked by the system.
Fill in the attester/verifier information in the form.

NOTE: Provide details of two verifiers. Each verifier must be an adult with a valid CNIC/NICOP

Set the scanner at 600 DPI, JPEG/JPG and Grayscale. Scan and upload the form.
Scan and upload the supporting documents.
Review the information you provided, sign the declaration and then submit the application.

How Long will the Online Application Process take?

The online application process differs for each category you apply in. The following table shows the approximate time take to complete an online application, assuming that you fulfill all the prerequisites.
